Quality Analyst

Job Introduction

The Quality Analyst will integrate, coordinate and deploy process and quality improvement methods, tools and governance. He/she will quantify and then advise management and team members of the value and cost impact of decisions intended to impact process or quality. He/she will develop and track against work plans, support and enforce quality standards, maintain the business process inventory and ensure consistent application across the business. The incumbent is responsible for developing process specifications, facilitating workshops and finalizing capture and prioritization of business process improvements. This position is responsible for developing and assisting with the deployment of business processes within applicable governance structures and standards.

Role Responsibility

  • Provide process improvement leadership and support to work groups and stakeholders to ensure accuracy and consistency across all business processes
  • Work to understand the customer requirements and how it is aligned to various business functions and processes
  • Look for ways to align business process and improve quality to meet and exceed customer needs with an emphasis on process integration, process improvement, non-value activity avoidance and sustainable cost savings
  • Work with peer resources to develop process specification documents in collaboration with process owners, subject matter experts and sponsors, as required
  • Lead workshops to develop, review and validate the content of process specification documents
  • Provide appropriate updates and maintenance of the process inventory
  • Provide oversight and direction to team members, as required
  • Work with leadership to inject process improvement and implementation methodologies to successfully realize future-state processes
  • Lead the planning and development of process improvement working sessions, as needed, to create business process efficiencies and identify sustainable value-add opportunities
  • Assist with developing metrics to measure business processes are effectively monitored and controlled
  • Ensure Business Process Management (BPM) methodology standards are adhered to across business process deliverables
  • Ensure affected processes are maintained within applicable governance structures, regulatory commitments and customer requirements
  • Liaise with leadership to develop overall plans and report progress and status against applicable work plan
  • Ensure proper documentation of risks, assumptions, issues and decisions related to the process improvement work and escalate key issues as appropriate
  • Develops strong relationships with internal stakeholders at various levels
  • Performs other related functions as assigned by the Head of Quality Assurance

The Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s Degree with concentration/major in Business Administration, Engineering or a field related to quality engineering or business process improvement (preferred)
  • Must be self-motivated with the ability to work alone or with limited supervision
  • Ability to organize and present information
  • Excellent skills in organization, prioritizing and managing time
  • Experience in health care, health insurance or financial services (preferred)
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically with Excel and Access
  • Knowledge of SharePoint and SQL Databases (preferred)
