Corporate Account Manager - Bupa Global EEA

Job Introduction

The Corporate Client Manager will report to the Head of ESS BGEEA. The primary goal is to manage an assigned client portfolio of Bupa’s strategic clients, establishing strong client relationships with senior contacts in those accounts across EEA.

Establishing strategic relationships to get a clear understanding of the strategic needs of clients aligning to Bupa Global capabilities delivering solutions to ensure continued growth for Global Corporate Sales and long-term client relationships.

Role Responsibility

Set up and monitor/ manager strong client relationships in EEA for IPMI Customers (direct / brokered / corporate and MNC’s and strategic SME’s )

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships within a portfolio, ensuring win / win relationships and requirements of clients are delivered within BGEEA operational capacity and risk appetite

Negotiate and finalise each renewal

  • To deliver on-going high-quality service and relationship management to ensure that all renewal activity is well managed, and policies are maintained

Client Management communication, processes and documentation

  • Client Management processes are appropriately executed and that documentation, presentations, reporting, analysis etc are of the highest quality.
  • Manage corporate client account plans and provide advice to clients on their benefits, annual claims spend, market and regulation changes
  • Proactively identify additional support required to deliver corporate client requirements and opportunities to delight.

Client Champion

  • Champion the needs of the clients whilst balancing the needs of the business, by presenting ideas to the business to continually develop BGEEA value proposition.
  • Monitor and prepare client account performance and sales material to high quality, and all senior stakeholder standards
  • Set targets and achieve these with support from Head of Sales & Distribution

Bupa Product Knowledge and contribution to development

  • Remain up to date with BGEEA propositions to be able to provide advice on the most appropriate cover options for clients, including strong relationships with pricing and marketing.

Market trends and dynamics understood for IPMI in EEA

  • Maintain an awareness of trends and developments that may impact Bupa’s ability to service Corporate partners, including regulatory and other market conditions that may impact Bupa’s approach with Corporate clients

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience with sales and business development of third parties
  • Sales background in the global health insurance market, or relevant transferable skills and knowledge from other financial services industries such as Life Insurance, Retail, Commercial or Investment Banking and Wealth Management
  • Some exposure to relevant local legal and regulatory frameworks
  • Understanding of the business development process and the interdependencies of pricing, risk management, marketing, distribution, product development, systems, legal and operational aspects of running a medical insurance business
  • Experience in negotiating and managing high-value contracts with external and internal partners
  • Experience of working overseas and dealing with foreign cultures is important, as is the ability to develop a strong international network of commercial contacts and effectively manage long term relationships
  • An ability to speak and write other languages – as minimum English, Cantonese and Mandarin
  • A track record of achieving and exceeding targeted business results/KPIs.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills are required with emphasis on achieving results and successful outcomes
  • Corporate governance experience of value
